Cape Coral Unit 19

Cape Coral Unit 19

Welcome to Unit 19 in Cape Coral, Florida

Just another day in Paradise! We have always liked this description of Cape Coral. When we were living in the mid-west (Iowa) and when we called to Kurt's parents who moved here in 1980 we would ask, "how's the weather?" And the reply was always "It's Just another day in Paradise, puffy white clouds, plenty of sunshine, light breeze, 75 last night and high of possible 92 today" After we moved here in 2002 we know say the same thing to our kids living in the mid west.

Yes, we are permanent residents. We purchase Dad's home on a direct access canal in the Everest Community. You see we got to watched this community grow up since 1980 as we would come down every Christmas for vacation and sometimes Easter. Now we are actively involved in the neighborhood.

Kurt is president of the voluntarily Everest Home Owners Association, with a $25 yearly membership. Under his watch we now have an active voice with our councilman Derrick Donnell, we have gotten a new Everest Sign, new curbing and this summer we are getting a sprinkler system and new plantings on Everest. All neighbors are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new landscaping. Through our Everest Home Owners Association and a landscaping committee we have convinced the city to use native plantings.
